Connected Learning Communities
In recent years, the importance of a connected learning model has increased. All over the world, teachers are focused on acquiring new knowledge and skills that will better their classroom, and benefit their students. Within the typical teacher network (pictured to the right), teachers main interactions are with family, colleagues, and the community around them. With today's technology, it is easier than ever to network with others. According to the text I've read , professional learning communities are valuable but a new model of professional development is necessary. The new model deeply focuses on concepts and research that was already emphasized in the old model; however, with the advantage of technology teachers are easily able to expand their knowledge even more.
